FOOSA Philharmonic: Stravinsky's "Rite of Spring, Schoenberg's Pélleas Und Mélisande

FOOSA (Fresno Summer Orchestra Academy) Philharmonic performs Schoenberg’s deeply evocative Pelléas und Mélisande, a lush symphonic poem that brings Maeterlinck’s mysterious love story to life with sweeping orchestral color and emotional depth.

The evening culminates in the visceral force of Igor Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring. Still astonishing more than a century after its explosive premiere, this revolutionary masterpiece pulses with primal rhythm, dissonance, and ritual intensity. Brace yourselves for a powerful, immersive finale that challenges, provokes, and ultimately transforms.
