The Youth Chamber Orchestra is our entry-level orchestra. Right now the configuration includes strings (violin, viola, cello, bass, harp) plus flute.

We recommend a minimum of one year of private lessons before applying to audition for YCO, though we are open to other possibilities. It's worth auditioning if you think you are ready.

Generally players in this orchestra would be studying the music listed in levels 1 and 2 on this competition website: miltonyoungmusicians. You can check repertoire recommended for each instrument.

This is a group dedicated to having fun while learning to play happily together.

Rehearsals for YCO are every Sunday afternoon from 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm during the concert season. Rehearsal Venue: CSU Fresno New Music Building, Room 127.
