That was amazing! Thanks to all who participated!

Join us in creating an amazing Water, Water, Everywhere experience at the Saroyan Theatre on Sunday May 24, 2015!

How, you ask?
Well, perhaps you'd like to

  • Let us know about upcoming lectures...workshops...panel screenings...relating to water, drought, California's water crisis, gardening, well-drilling--anything that might interest the community and be relevant to the investigation.
  • Produce some artwork that relates to the theme and can be displayed in some way at the Saroyan Theatre on May 24.
  • Involve your students, if you're a teacher, in producing artwork or science projects or a dance or a video or poems or works of fiction...anything at all, as long as it relates to the theme of WATER.

The shore's the limit! Really, there is no limit. Please just approach us with your ideas and dreams, and we will see what can be done.

You may use the form below to let us know what you have in mind. Please just send that in immediately--we love knowing in advance who will be displaying in the lobby at our culminating concert on May 24.

As far as what's already happening on OUR end: we are producing a concert involving all three or our orchestras and the students in our Accent on Access Violin Program in the program at the Saroyan on May 24. The repertoire has been chosen to reflect our watery theme: Handel's Water Music, Debussy's La Mer, Bernstein's music for the movie On the Waterfront, and of course the specially commissioned water-themed work by composer Benjamin Boone, who is creating a piece that will feature all of our 300-plus musicians and the audience, all at the same time. Oh--and of course, Pirates of the Caribbean

So--join us. Let us know what you're thinking--just submit the form below to initiate a conversation. We would love to have you as part of the celebration!
