Our annual fundraising concert!
Sunday February 12, 7:00pm
Paul Shaghoian Concert Hall, 2770 E International Fresno 93730
Our guest soloist is guitar phenomenon Daniel Bolshoy, playing everyone's favorite guitar concerto, the Concierto de Aranjuez, by Joaquin Rodrigo.
(Here's a video of Concierto de Aranjuez featuring John Williams on guitar, to remind you how much you love this work! And here's the famous Gil Evans arrangement of the Adagio with Miles Davis on the Sketches of Spain album.)
On the program at this event, which also features a wonderful dessert auction:
Chabrier Espana and Habanera; Lalo Namouna Suite for Orchestra; Marquez Conga del Fuego Nuevo; and of course the Rodrigo with guest artist Daniel Bolshoy.
Music Director Thomas Loewenheim will conduct the Youth Philharmonic Orchestra.
Reserved seating is available in advance (use the link below). This is a fundraising event, so these seats are being offered at the $25/$10 level and, for premium seating, the $35/$15 level.
ONLINE TICKET SALES END AT 7AM ON CONCERT DAY.
BUT NEVER FEAR—JUST COME DIRECTLY TO THE HALL! As always, we welcome audience members who prefer just to show up at the hall on concert day. We request but do not require donations at the door. We can't wait to see you!
