Tour to Los Angeles! Perform Two Operas! Learn from the masters!

Created and led by Artistic Director Thomas Loewenheim, the Fresno Opera & Orchestra Summer Academy offers a unique opportunity for orchestral musicians and aspiring singers to work side-by-side with professionals in producing three concerts--one at Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, then two full operas at Fresno State--all in an intense atmosphere of daily rehearsals and focused instruction.

College and Advanced Pre-College Levels
Orchestra members enjoy intense daily rehearsals to prepare symphonic works for performance at Disney Hall, as well as two full operas for performance in Fresno. Focused instruction, sectionals.

College Level
A maximum of 15 singers will be accepted as either Principal Young Artists (principal roles, possible Disney Hall debuts) or Young Artists (chorus roles). Master classes, side-by-side performances with professional faculty.
