Artists from the Schools Program
ARE YOUR STUDENTS TALENTED ARTISTS? HERE'S A GREAT CHANCE TO DISPLAY THEIR WORK TO AN APPRECIATIVE PUBLIC!
Art Teachers! Any teachers!
Here's a great option for your students! Each year we seek student artwork to display at our concerts--five concerts altogether, four performed at the Paul Shaghoian Concert Hall (Clovis North High School), and one at the Saroyan Theatre.
We would love to have student artwork on display in the lobbies at these concerts!
If you and your students would like to participate this season, we'd be delighted.
We will display as much of the artwork as we can, if it is already mounted. We will count on teachers to make selections in sending work. We will be able to set up easels in the auditorium lobby, and also be able to hang artwork from some ceiling overhangs. If you could get in touch via email (office@youthorchestrasfresno.org) to let us know that you will be submitting artwork, we’ll be able to arrange for pick-up. Any work that will be set up on easels will need to be backed with something like card stock or foamcore.
If you can send easels, we can accommodate more artwork!
Packets of completed artwork will be picked up at your school by Youth Orchestras of Fresno personnel at dates to be announced during the school year. Remember, please, to contact us at office@youthorchestrasfresno.org to arrange for pickup.
Winter 2011: Bring artwork to YOOF office (444 W Shaw) by Friday December 2, or bring it to the concert on Sunday December 4 (and/or the concert on December 11, which features Hansel and Gretel) at the Shaghoian Concert Hall (Clovis North HS), 12pm.
We generally make music for listening available online via this website, though if you would prefer to have a CD containing relevant tracks, just email us at office@youthorchestrasfresno.org.
We can’t wait to see what the students create!
