10:30am: first volunteer helpers arrive

10:45am: YPO members arrive
11:00am: YPO rehearsal begins onstage

12:30pm: YSO members arrive
12:45pm: YSO members join YPO onstage for Christmas Festival

Note: YCO members will not have time to change into concert attire. They should arrive at the hall already wearing their concert attire. Members of other orchestras should consider doing the same thing—there will be less crowding in the restrooms.

Members of all three orchestras are required to be present for the entire concert. Orchestra members may not leave during the performance or at intermission. YCO and YSO members have reserved seats already assigned to them in the auditorium.

CONCERT ATTIRE FOR THIS HOLIDAY CONCERT ONLY:

Concert Attire for All Three Orchestras: Please go colorful for this concert! 

Ladies: solid-color blouse or shirt, three-quarter or long sleeves; black skirt (floor-length—if shorter, be sure to wear black tights also) or black pants, black socks/stockings, black shoes

Gentlemen: solid-color dress shirt (long sleeves, collar)—no jackets needed, no bowties either; black pants, black socks, black shoes

 If you don’t have a solid-color top (and we’re thinking red, green, blue, mostly…maybe some gold, purple, yellow, gray…) don’t worry—black or white will be fine


Concert attire for Chamber Orchestra members (REGULAR CONCERTS)

Ladies: Full-length black skirt or black trousers, black stockings/socks, black shoes, white top with long or three-quarter-length sleeves.
Gentlemen: Black dress slacks, black socks, black shoes, white long-sleeved dress shirt with a black bow tie.

Shorthand version: black with white tops, bow ties for gentlemen!

Concert attire for Youth Symphony members

Ladies: Full-length black skirt or black trousers, black top with long or three-quarter-length sleeves, black stockings/socks, black shoes.
Gentlemen: Black/dark jacket (tuxedo is fine but not required), black/dark dress slacks, black socks, black shoes, white dress shirt with black bow tie.

Shorthand version: black on black, bow ties for gentlemen!

Concert attire for Youth Philharmonic members

Ladies: Full-length black skirt or black trousers and black top with long or three-quarter-length sleeves OR full-length black dress with long or three-quarter-length sleeves, black stockings/socks, black shoes.
Gentlemen: Black/dark jacket (tuxedo is fine but not required), black/dark dress slacks, black socks, black shoes, white dress shirt with black bow tie.

Check out our CONCERT CLOTHING EXCHANGE. We have gently used garments in our YOOF office, ready for your perusal. You can donate your gently used concert clothes to the cause, too.
